• Helping Children Learn the Holy Qur’an from an Early Age
One of the most precious gifts parents can give their children is guiding them to learn the Holy Qur’an from a young age. Childhood is widely recognized as the most effective stage for learning—knowledge acquired during these years remains for life, like an engraving in stone. For this reason, many parents strive to provide their children with meaningful knowledge, and nothing is more valuable than learning the Qur’an and Islamic studies.
At Surah Academy, we have a dedicated team of qualified male and female instructors who specialize in teaching the Qur’an to children. They use engaging, age-appropriate methods that make learning enjoyable and motivate children to look forward to their lessons.
• Program Structure for Children
Students begin with a foundational level where they are introduced to the Arabic alphabet in an interactive and effective way. This helps them read Arabic letters and simple words with ease and confidence. Once they complete this stage, they move on to the Qur’an Recitation Course.
In the recitation stage, children start reading Juzz 30—from Surat Al-Nas to Surat Al-Naba’—while gradually applying tajweed rules. Lessons combine theory and practice, enabling them to recite the Qur’an accurately and melodiously. After completing this stage, each child can either continue with advanced recitation or begin the memorization program, starting again with Juzz 30.
• Qur’an Recitation Program
Children develop the ability to recite the Holy Qur’an directly from the Mushaf while applying tajweed rules step by step. The program follows a clear, structured methodology that helps them build fluency and beauty in their recitation.
• Qur’an Memorization Program
Once a child has mastered proper recitation, they may begin memorization. This program provides a gradual, systematic approach to memorizing the Qur’an while reinforcing tajweed. We inspire children to give their best by nurturing in them an appreciation of the spiritual reward and excellence of memorizing and reciting the Qur’an.
All programs are divided into progressive levels. Upon completion of each level, Surah Academy awards students with official certificates to recognize their achievement.
