Arabic Language Courses at Surah Academy
The Arabic language holds a unique status as the language of the Holy Qur’an. It carries a rich heritage in science, literature, and Islamic scholarship. Learning Arabic is not only a tool for communication but also a gateway to understanding the Qur’an and Islamic teachings more deeply.
At Surah Academy, Arabic instruction is tailored to each student’s age and proficiency level. Learners develop their skills in the four essential areas—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while building a strong foundation in Arabic grammar.
To ensure effective progress, we provide structured textbooks and high-quality resources designed specifically for non-native speakers.
Program Options
1. Classical Arabic (Fus’ha):
This program focuses on Modern Standard Arabic, the language of the Qur’an, Islamic texts, and formal communication. It is ideal for non-native Muslims who wish to perform prayers, supplications, and Qur’an recitation with deeper understanding.
Upon completion, students will be able to communicate with Arabic speakers worldwide and access Islamic knowledge directly from authentic sources.
2. Arabic Dialects:
Designed for students who want to speak Arabic in daily life, this program covers widely spoken regional dialects, such as:
Egyptian Arabic – the most widely understood dialect across the Arab world.
Saudi Arabic – commonly spoken in the Gulf region.
Emirati Arabic – ideal for interacting with speakers from the UAE.
All dialect lessons are taught by native instructors with expertise in teaching spoken Arabic effectively.
3. Arabic for Kids:
This course makes learning Arabic fun and engaging for children. Kids start with the alphabet and gradually build vocabulary and conversational skills through age-appropriate themes such as colors, numbers, food, and professions.
Teachers use creative methods—games, interactive exercises, and storytelling—to keep children motivated and excited to learn. All sessions are delivered one-on-one via Zoom, ensuring personalized attention and support.
